Professional information

Tenacious, hard-working, and an innovative thinker specializing in corporate, consumer and B2B branding, creative, and marketing communications across a variety of industries, I'm a storyteller at heart. Working within the ever-changing and increasingly diverse channels to market, I specialize in crafting compelling narratives that leverage the most appropriate platforms to positively influence decisions.

A B.A. (Hons) graduate in PR and Communications from Leeds Beckett University (U.K.), my experience encompasses organizations large and small, on both the agency and in-house client-side. After eight years in London directing campaigns for new media, digital, and communications technologies, I swapped the hustle of London for the highways of California, relocating to the States in early 2004. Since then, I have driven successful brand, communications, and PR campaigns for clients across telecommunications, high-tech B2C and B2B, electronics, pharma, biotech, and health-tech, to name a few. For six years I was an agency co-owner and partner, taking it from start-up to 40 people across five offices globally. I have also worked as a VP in the technology practice of one of the top two PR agencies in the world.

I bring a strong creative flavor, allied to insightful ideas with solid strategic, mentoring, and new business experience. Recent projects include launching a new client business into the medical cannabis and industrial hemp space in just three weeks, directing all media and public relations for CPhI North America, and garnering top tier media relations for a start-up company with a brand new take that addresses the fundamental causes of disease by controlling the output of genes central to the disease.

Specialties include:

  • Communications and PR strategy and program design.

  • Brand and messaging development.

  • Content strategy and development.

  • Business development.

  • Key account management.

  • Traditional, digital, and social media.

  • Event planning and support.

  • Team mentorship and management.

  • Recruitment and training.

  • Budgeting/P&L management.

I am always growing my network, so please feel free to reach out via email or LinkedIn if you think we should connect or if I can support you in any way. And I'm always up for a coffee!

Personal flavors
Outside of work, first and foremost I'm Dad to Max. Passionate about music, I play drums (yes, I've heard all of the drummer jokes), am learning other instruments, and also compose and occasionally DJ. Huge soccer fan and also enjoy college football and basketball.

Enjoy cycling, hiking, camping and exploring the open road with my family, cooking (I make a mean Sunday roast with Yorkshire puddings), and trying out craft beers. Lover of good cinema, and inspired design/architecture. I am in awe of the brilliance of nature. Firmly believe that we're all basically trying to figure it out and learn more each and every day.
